My works are interpretations of personal experience.  They are expressions of my philosophy of life. Life is a spiritual venture in a temporal context.  Love is its essence.  Joy, humour and insight abound in discovering the extraordinary in the ordinary, the unique in the mundane, and the spiritual through the physical.

My work is influenced by people I have met, places I have been as well as by things and ideas.

In 2007, I began an artistic exploration that is continuing.  It is an exploration of emotions, perceptions, symbols and metaphors blending objective and abstract elements. My art is metaphor, illusion and allusion.  A visual image is analogous to a haiku - a pithy, terse composition that can strike an emotional chord or tweak one's mind.  Sometimes a short poem, or haiku, I have written accompanies my works.

Generally, I prefer to work with water-based or dry media.  At this time I am working mostly with acrylic paints.

People recognize my work for its colour harmony, abstract sensitivity, inherent metaphor and poetic accompaniments.
